Hannah Steyaert, Registered Psychotherapist in London, Ontario

Psychodynamic therapy for young adults experiencing anxiety, relationship concerns and recurring emotional patterns.
Hi, I’m Hannah, a Registered Psychotherapist based in London, Ontario. I work with young adults experiencing anxiety, stress and relationship concerns, including people who find themselves repeating the same emotional or relationship patterns without fully understanding why.
My approach is curious, empathetic and guided by your comfort level. Together, we can make sense of what you are experiencing, where certain patterns may have come from and what might help you respond differently.
Could we be a good fit?
You might be looking for therapy because something does not feel quite right, even if it is difficult to explain. You may understand some of your patterns but still find yourself falling back into them.
I commonly support clients with:
You do not need to arrive with a clear explanation of what is wrong or know which type of therapy you need. We can begin with what has been happening and determine together what would be most useful.
What therapy with me is like
Sessions give you space to speak openly about what you are experiencing without judgment. I will listen carefully, ask questions and help you notice connections that may be difficult to see on your own.
We may explore your current relationships, emotional reactions, earlier experiences or the expectations you place on yourself. We will work at a pace that feels manageable and focus on the concerns that are most relevant to your life now.
Therapy does not require you to have everything figured out before you begin. Part of our work can be finding the words for experiences or emotions that have been difficult to understand on your own.
My therapeutic approach
I primarily use psychodynamic therapy. This approach looks beyond immediate symptoms to consider the emotions, experiences and relationship patterns that may be influencing how you feel or respond today.
The purpose is not simply to analyze the past. It is to understand what may still be affecting you so that you have more awareness and choice in how you respond.
This approach may be particularly helpful when the same emotional reactions, relationship difficulties or self-doubts continue to appear, even when you have tried to change them.
